This master bath was a typical builder model with oak cabinets, brass fixtures, and carpet flooring. By removing the decking structure around the tub, we were able to open the space and create a larger shower with multiple shower heads. The freestanding tub creates a serene environment amidst the blue and green tone, natural stone wall tiles of the shower. The simple pendant is an under-stated element of elegance. The herringbone pattern on the floor tile lengthens and widens the space dramatically and provides an element of interest, though subtle. By using a channel drain and curb-less shower system, the herringbone pattern is carried uninterrupted into the shower. The bold slab doors and drawers on the vanities and the framed mirrors lend themselves to the simplistic craftsman style. A linen cabinet provides additional storage for easy-to-access items. The sage green walls provide a calming influence to the newly updated master bath.
